Youth Mobility Visa UK - Students and Graduates
There are a range of visas available to young professionals and students alike. The UK is a popular destination for young people to study and start their careers, and the visas here are aimed at such people to give them the opportunity to do just that.
People can come to the UK as more than just students. For example, they can come as part of the Youth Mobility Scheme, or as a high potential individual. People can also come here to study for a degree, as well as apply to stay here after completing one. Whatever your circumstances are as a young person, there is likely a visa to fit your needs.

Some of the visas you see listed here require you to have a sponsor licence prior to your application. A sponsor licence is a document from a registered employer that confirms you have a job lined up before your arrival in the UK. You can read more about sponsor licences on our webpage.
Graduate Visa
The Graduate Visa, which must be applied for from inside the UK, gives you permission to stay in the country for at least 2 years after successfully completing a course here. You can apply for a Graduate Visa if you’re in the UK and your current visa is a Student Visa.
Graduate Trainee Scheme
The Graduate Trainee Visa is for overseas workers who wish to be transferred to the UK by their employer for a work placement in the UK as part of a graduate training course that leads to a managerial or specialist role.
High Potential Individual Visa
A High Potential Individual (HPI) Visa gives you permission to stay in the UK for at least 2 years. The visa attracts the best talent from across the globe to come and live and work in the UK.
India Young Professionals Scheme
An India Young Professionals Scheme visa allows Indian citizens aged between 18 and 30 to live and work in the UK for up to 2 years. You must be selected in the India Young Professionals Scheme ballot before you can apply. The ballot you must declare that you’re eligible for the visa.
Short Term Study Visa
If you just want to study in the UK for a brief amount of time, then the Short Term Study Visa may be for you. This visa only allows you to study English, and no other topic whilst in the UK. It is suitable for courses that last from six to 12 months.Â
Student Visa
With the Student Visa, you can study in the UK and take on limited paid work. How much work you can do depends on what you’re studying and whether you’re working in or out of term-time. You can also work as a student union sabbatical officer.
Youth Mobility Scheme
The Youth Mobility Scheme Visa is for young adults from certain countries to live and work in the UK for two years. You can apply for a Youth Mobility Scheme visa if you’re aged between 18 and 30 and you’re a national from a specific list of countries.
