Once an Investor visa is granted you can work, study or engage in business activities in the UK.

The Investor Visa is valid for 3 years but can be extended for a further 2 years providing all criteria are met. Thereafter, you may be able to apply for Indefinite Leave to Remain.

In March 2019 more rigid eligibility criteria were introduced for new applicants. Legal advice should be sought when you are considering any particular type of investment in the UK to ensure that your visa options are considered in line with the more restrictive requirements.

It is important to provide all relevant information and that representations are made to avoid any delays with your application.

  • The funds are readily available to be transferred to and invested in the UK.
  • The requirement to show the source of funds where the £2 million has been held for less than 2 years.
  • Applications can be refused if the Home Office have reasonable grounds to believe the funds used for the investment breached exchange controls.
