A guide to 2025 UK visa fees

It can be hard to understand the various fees for different visas. We will help you in this all-encompassing guide to UK visa application fees.
Estimated reading time: 7 minutes
UK visa fees represented by British money

There are many different visas, as well as other immigration statuses such as Indefinite Leave to Remain, that have received fee changes. Some fees also vary based on whether you are applying from within the UK, or outside of the UK. There are also further optional fees, such as a priority service that allows you to get a visa decision much faster.

In this guide, we will provide you with all of the different UK visa fees that are provided by the Home Office.

To find the fees for a specific type of visa on a computer, you can hold the ‘Ctrl’ key (Cmd key on Mac) and tap the F key to bring up a search bar. If you are using a smartphone, you will need to tap the three dots in the top right corner of your browser; then you can tap ‘find in page’ and search for what you are looking for.

Please note: the Government recently announced an Immigration White Paper that has many proposed changes to the immigration rules; this could include fees going up if certain rules go into effect.

We will update this guide whenever new changes are introduced.

How have UK visa fees changed?

Most visa fees have been going up over the last few years. For example, all Certificates of Sponsorship now cost much more than they did, with the current fee being £525, whilst it used to be £239.

The current trend is that most visa fees are being increased, with some receiving much higher increases than others.

Please note: the most recent updates to the fees were introduced on 1 May 2025 after being announced in April. The table below reflects this.
