Home Office has announced a new Afghan resettlement scheme in response to the Taliban takeover in Afghanistan, and the threat towards women and children.
The civil penalty accreditation scheme is a scheme designed for road haulage companies that reduces their chances of receiving fines by ensuring that they have effective systems to reduce the risk of illegal migrants hiding in their vehicles.
On 21 June 2021 Kevin Foster wrote an open letter to the Director of Children’s Services applauding the efforts of the local authorities under his jurisdiction for their continued efforts in ensuring that looked-after-children and care leavers are eligible under the EU Settlement Scheme (EUSS) and have made/are in the process of making applications to the scheme.
On 6 July 2021, Kevin Foster, the Minister for Future Borders and Immigration wrote a letter to Professor Brian Bell to commission the Migration Advisory Committee (MAC) to “undertake an independent review of adult social care and the impact the ending of freedom of movement has had on the sector.”
